You can put one of many different kinds to help. Some people like to use products made to supplement pets such as Derm Caps or Linatone, some like the capsules for fish oil or primrose oil from the pharmacy, and some like to use safflower or sunflower seed oil from the grocery store. Most types of vegetable oils will help and many of the meat based fats will also.
However the best thing to do with skin problems such as dry skin is to make sure the dog food is a good one which is supplying enough nutrients to keep the dog healthy.
Hope this helps you!
