My dog's teeth look like they have been ground down. I have only jusst noticed this. She is only four years old and in really good health. is there an underlying illness that could be causing this?

If she chews rocks or other hard items this can cause excessive tooth wear.
Tennis ball covers also can have the effect of wearing down teeth and that is why they make doggy tennis balls now.
Its not likely a disease more likely wear from excessive use but you can have your vet check this the next time the dog is in for care.
