can a dog get sick if they eat pine needles or lick the sap from a pine tree?

The needles can do some damage on the way through the intestinal tract. The sap is the basis for turpentine.
Neither are good for a dog to eat and you may get a toxic reaction if the dog eats them.
If this is puppy discourage her from eating them and offer her something else to chew instead then praise her for chewing the permitted item.
