Mumps in Dogs

Resolved Question:

Do dogs get mumps. I have a 13 yr old shepard mix that has areas on each side of his throat that are hard and swollen. He is not acting any differently. This just appeared this evening

The most common cause of this is swelling of the lymph glands. This can be caused by an infection or even a bigger problem. Root tooth problems can even cause swelling in the throat and they can be pretty serious.
