pus-filled bumps on my dogs stomach

Customer Question

I found a small puppy near my home. The small puppy has white, pus-filled bumps on his stomach. What are these bumps? Are they contagious to other dogs? Should I take him to a vet?

Its probably a puppy pyoderma. I would clean the area well with a mild
antibacterial soap and rinse it well with water. Make sure to dry it
well. Keeping the area clean and dry will help the pustual go away but
your pup does need to be on a vaccine schedule starting immediately and
also be checked or internal and external parasites so a vet visit is
needed soon. I would keep him away from your other dogs until you have
a health check from your vet. You don't want to run the risk of them
catching something.

Good Luck!
