My 17yr old cat is throwing up clear liquid Not sure what is

Customer Question

My 17yr old cat is throwing up clear liquid Not sure what is going on with her
JA: Hopefully it didn't make a mess. Did the cat eat anything unusual?
Customer: No. It happens occasionally
JA: Have there been any changes in the cat's appearance or diet?
Customer: She has lost some weight over the past year. She eats small portions of food throughout the day. She probably weighs about 10 lbs
JA: Is there anything else you think the vet should know?
Customer: We had tests done last years. Blood work etc. Nothing to indicate any problems

Hello,

I am sorry she is not feeling well. Throwing up clear liquid indicates nausea.

Give her one quarter of a ten mg pepcid a/c (famotidine). I usually add it to a tablespoon of baby food chicken with no onion or garlic Or canned cat food.Every 12 hours.

Remove all dry food and any wet with chunks, pieces or shreds.

Feed only smooth pate canned food or baby food.

If she gets dehydrated give her tuna water drained from the can.

Please let me know how she is doing .
