Hello, My name is Terri.
It is my pleasure to assist you today!
I am reviewing your question right now and will reply in a few minutes.

I am sorry Harley is not feeling well.

Brown liquid is bile and means her tummy is empty.

Give her one quarter of a ten mg pepcid a/c (famotidine). I usually add it to a tablespoon of baby food chicken with no onion or garlic Or canned cat food.Every 12 hours.

Remove all dry food and any wet with chunks, pieces or shreds.

Feed only smooth pate canned food or baby food.

If she gets dehydrated give her tuna water drained from the can.

Please let me know how she is doing .

She is refusing to eat, even her favorite foods.. will try the tuna water though in the morning and see if that will tempt her. Should I be worried as she is not her usual self
Expert:  Terri replied 24 days ago.

What is her usual food?

Customer: replied 24 days ago.
fancy feast a la carte tin food. She has never eaten dry food apart from a random nibble if I am not watching.
Expert:  Terri replied 24 days ago.

Get a jar of baby food chicken or beef with no onion powder.

Warm it a bit in the microwave.

Tell me is she eats that or drinks the tuna water

Customer: replied 24 days ago.
ok thank you - I am at work presently so will try in the morning when I get home. If she still won't eat should I take her to the vets? I heard that if cats go 3 days without food it causes damage...

You are more than welcome. It is my pleasure to help such a wonderful person!

Yes, cats can damage their liver if they do not eat for 3 days.

She may have a fever or be dehydrated or nauseated.

Try famotidine and baby food

I will be here so let me know how she is later.

Fantastic news she is pretty much back to her normal self when I walked in the door a little while ago. She wasn't interested in the tuna water (her brother was) but has eaten a little bit and has also shown great interest in some cat grass that I picked up on the way home.
what can help with the stomach acid if she throws up again?
Thank you - appreciate the advice

That IS fantastic news! I am thrilled to hear Harley is back to normal.

If she throws up again, give her famotidine @ one quarter of a ten mg pill every 12 hours.

Sometimes they purposely eat grass to settle their tummy.

Please let me know how she is later.
