Hello,

I am so sorry Chug got into toothpaste.

Did he actually ingest some?
What is the brand of toothpaste so I can see the ingredients?

After your reply please give me a few minutes to type detailed answer.

Thanks,

Terri

Crest. His underbelly is swollen and he whines when I try to pick him up. There were two spots of toothpaste I found on his underbelly yesterday and he seems swollen there. Coincidentally I changed his diet the past four days. I have them on blue sensitive stomach dry food and did feed them Iams urinary wet once a day. Chug throws up so I switched the wet food to blue wet food.

I don't think he ingested it.

Thanks so much for your very helpful reply.

It is possible the toothpaste (if it was minty) irritated Chug's skin.

Apply raw honey to any sore areas. It is a remarkable healing agent:

He may have an unrelated urinary tract infection or cystitis:

Many times this is caused by a dry food diet:

Pick up all dry food. Feed Chug Royal canin wet food (S/O is equal to Iams C/D).

He can also have human baby food chicken or turkey with no onion or garlic.

If he does have a UTI he will need an antibiotic.

Please let me know how he is doing. I hope he feels better very soon.
