Kitten 19weeks, 5 lbs. Diagnosed yesterday with Upper

Customer Question

Kitten 19weeks, 5 lbs. Diagnosed yesterday with Upper respitory infection and given clavamox by vet once yesterday afternoon. Kitten behavior wad slightly sluggish yet still eating, playful. Vet said fever was 1-2degrees higer than normal. Now after 1st clavamox. Kitten vomited 3 times. Stopped moving for about 2hours and layed in bed without moving body or ears and wouldnt open eyes. Was still breathing though. Now kitten is still in bed and upright but she walked on my face and footpads were hot. Its 3am and so im trying to give cold water via medication syringe- no needle. to cool her down since she isnt moving much. I saw a bubble come from her nose. I was not giving water quickly, but you can imagine she doesnt like it one bit. I plan to try clavamox at breakfast time again. What else can i do since i have to work tomorrow? I have been coming home at luch to check on her. Please help.

Hello, I am afraid that the expert you have requested is not currently available. Still I am Dr.B, a licensed veterinarian and I would like to help you with your wee one today.

Is she willing to eat at all?

Are her gums pink or pale/white?
Can you take a breathing rate for me (just count her breaths for 10 seconds +multiply that by 6)?
