Customer Question

I put in the question re: male cat 11 yrs. old with dry and cruse nose.

Hello,
I am sorry Gabriel has this trouble.
If his nose is pink or he sits in a window or goes outside,he could be getting sunburned. Sometimes a cat his age gets a little dehydrated.
Drain the water from a can of tuna and see if he will lap it up.
You can also dab some vaseline or plain neosporen on his nose twice a day. It is safe if he licks either one.
Please let me know how he is doing.
Just press reply and I will be here for you.
Love,
Terri

Could he have an allergy? He stays in the house, however in the past he was in a screened in area. He no longer goes out during pollen time.

It is possible, however, allergies don't ordinarily begin suddenly.
You can try one quarter of a 4 mg chlortrimeton every 24 hours. It is very tiny so if you drop it in wet food or tuna he will not detect it.
It is sold OTC near benedryl:

In the meantime use the vaseline to soften the crusty area.
