Hello,
I am sorry Fuzzy is not feeling well.
How much weight would you estimate she has lost?
Lump under ear can be an abscess, cyst or from a bad tooth.
She has the classic symptoms of hyperthyroid. They include weight loss, Wailing, old appearance.

If she has this ailment it can be treated with medication and a special food. It is made by hills and called Y/D. It comes in wet and dry forms:

I know she is afraid of strangers but she will need to see a vet for testing and medication.
I have coupons for a free visit if one of these are near you
here are two Vets that offer a free first visit:

You could also call a mobile vet to come to your house but I find scared kitties behave better in the office because it is not their territory.
Please let me know how Fuzzy is doing. Just press reply and I will be here for you.
Love,
Terri
