You are describing the classic symptoms of hyperthyroid.
The cat eats great but is always hungry and loses weight. That is because the excess thyroid hormone burns up a lot of his calories.

It can be treated with mediation orally or compounded to rub on the ear.
There is also a cat food that can help.
It is best to take George in for a T4 thyroid test so he can be started on a treatment program

Till you resolve this it is a good idea to hold George's dry food. It contributes to the vomiting. Feed him canned only.
