My baby cat recently disappeared (about 8 weeks ago) and I found her this afternoon at the SPCA. She had travelled from Wynberg and was picked up in Milnerton. I am certain she is mine and the behaviour of my other two cats when I got her home helped to confirm this. But she has now been on her own for almost 9 weeks and she was skittish and wary of them before she ran away. She disappeared right after I moved into a new flat so now its not just a new place she has to get used to, but now she needs to get reaccustomed to people and two other cats. If there is any way you can help, please can you let me know.

Hello, Getting Bella settled in she has been gone may take some time and patience. There are a few helpers that may make this easier. The first is Feliway a Pheomone that we use to help calm cats and make Bella more comfortable. This is in two forms.one is a plug in diffuser and the other is a spray. It makes the cat feel like it is nursing on mom. it is odorless to humans, but will affect all the cats in the house. http://www.feliway.com/gb
The next item I suggest is a product called Rescue Remedy. It is used to aid in behavior issues and can be used in conjunction with the Feliway. The Rescue Remedy can be rubbed in the ear, on the gums, or put in the drinking water. It is all natural and is made from Bach Flowers. http://www.preciouspets.org/newsletters/articles/bach.htm
There is one more product tha can help called Composure. It comes in two forms one is a liquid and the other is a treat form. This is some information on the Composure products: http://www.vetriscience.com/composure-soft-dogs-cats.php or liquid: http://www.onlynaturalpet.com/products/Vetri-Science-Composure-Dog-Cat-Supplement/125045.aspx
This will not be an overnight process, but it is a good starting point to help get Bella more comfortable with her human and cat family.
