What do I do if my cat has has a warble? I have 3 dogs that live in the house the cat comes in and out, should i keep the cat away from the dogs and people?
Hello,I am sorry to hear Little kitty may have a warble. This will not transfer to the dogs or humans so that is not a concern. These are cased by files that lay their eggs on the skin. This does need to be removed by the vet do not try to remove it on your own. When being removed if the larva is crushed or torn this can result in a severe allergic reaction and in some cases even anaphylaxis. will it go away if not taken to a vet
No this will not just go away unfortunately and not having it removed not only increase the risk of infection but sometimes, the larvae migrate abnormally and can end up traveling through to the brain.CandyR41087.8569783218
Good job done
Thank you very much if you are seeing the faces please press the got the job done face or the star. One thing I did want to add is if you are not seeing an actual larva then it is possible in a cat that goes outside that this is an abscess that has opened up and in that case you can try cleaning it daily with a wound scrub such as Betadine mixed with water to the color of tea. If you can see the larva then I would get him in.CandyR41087.8667368056
