Can roundworms in cats go away on their own? What are the consequences of not treating?
While worms do not live forever the cat will continually reinfect itself by washing feet and anal area. Worms pass eggs in the cats stool so the litter box would be a source of worm eggs.
I'd wait 2 weeks and try worming her again and in the meantime plan how to get all the med in her. You may see some worms in the stool as some may die from the wormer given today.
You might want to ask your vet about a med to use that would be easier to give than whatever you tried too.
