Customer Question

Can I use neosporin or liquid bandage for my cat?? She has an open wound on her rump. She is in good spirits and does not seem in pain, but I am worried about infection. We are using Hydrogen Peroxide to clean it now. Any suggestions?

You can use neosporin on it safely - the cat may lick it but it won't harm her to do so.
The cleaning with peroxide or betadine will also help prevent infection.
You may find that using a warm/hot damp compress on the spot before cleaning and medicating it will help promote faster healing.
Hope this helps you!
