My cat's eye is matted shut. What to do about it?

You can try wiping away the debris with a warm wash cloth. Or flushing it with saline.
Be careful trying to open the eye. If it doesn't open on its own, don't try prying it open.
He may have a severe infection in the eye or the eye could be ulcerated causing the debris to accumulate.
He will need a Vet check-up to have the eye evaluated and to be possibly started on antibiotics for the infection/inflammation.
