I would be most concerned about a staff infection or roundworm infestation. Roundworms can often be transmitted to people and but they do not affect people the same way. Our immune system usually fights them off and you will see some skin irritation instead of full blown worm problems.
I would also be concerned about sarcoptic mange mites that might be the problem.
And don't forget about ringworm. People often get little papules or blisters instead of the classic round lesions.
I think that you need to see your family physician so that you can get this problem under control.
