Your cat may have been adaptable at one time to your moves, however once they get older, cat's tend to become more 'finicky' about change - and bad behaviors can occur.
You are lucky in a way - she is using the same spot to urinate! This is easier to handle than a cat that randomly urinates where she pleases. Your options would be to place her food dishes in this same spot. Pet's do not like to potty where they eat, so many times this is very effective. You may not have to feed her there forever, just long enough to break the habit. You may even find tossing her favorite treats in the area will be all that's needed.
Another option for you to try is to place a plant or table over the area. I realize this may impractical if it is in the middle of the room - but it has worked nonetheless.
When cat's get older, they may not be as agile as they once were and a lower edge litterbox may be needed to make it easier for them to go in and out of. They may also be more picky about the cleanliness of the box so if in the past, you did not have to clean it on a daily basis, you may find the need to do so now. And make sure there isn't a medical reason for her to start this doing this - urinary tract infections are one of the major reasons for changes in potty habits.
I hope I have given you enough ideas to try and I really hope it saves your carpet AND saves your cat!
