A cat may experience shock resulting from an injury, heat exhaustion, heatstroke, or illness. Symptoms of shock include panting, rapid breathing, weakness, pale or grey coloured gums, coldness, and possibly even unconsciousness. It's very important to keep the cat warm. Wrap the cat in a blanket or towel and take him to the hospital. If your cat has gone into shock as a result of heat exhaustion, wrap him loosely in a towel after his body has been cooled.
God bless and Good luck!
