I have a male cockatoo who has been very active until today.

Customer Question

I have a male cockatoo who has been very active until today. He is sitting in the corner of his cage with his head down and his tongue going in and out. If you go over to his cage and call him, he does come up and play. Should I be concerned?

I'm sorry that your question wasn't answered in a timely manner. We don't have many avian vets on this site. Please let me know if you still need help. Your cockatoo's behavior isn't pathognomonic (specifically indicative) of any one particular disorder and may represent normal parrot behavior rather than disorder. Have any other symptoms arisen since you posted?
