Customer Question

Good evening. My pink and grey cocky (female) appears to be ovulating? She l
has black legs and her feathers are reddish and the grey ones very dark and oily. Every year she does this but I have not seen my local wild ones looking like her. Can you advise please?

I apologize that no one has responded to your question sooner. Different experts come online at various times. I just came online and saw your question. My name is ***** ***** I’m a biologist with a special interest in avian health. I'm sorry to hear of your bird's problem.

It is not normal for her to go through those appearance changes during breeding season. Does she actually lay any eggs when going through this?

Thank you.
