Customer Question

Please ask Dr. Pat - Honey seems to be doing OK. However I still worry about the pellets she is eating. She rejected the Harrison's completely. So she is on the ZuPreem. At first she threw all the green ones out of the cage. Then the red ones, then the blue ones. Now she doesn;t throw them out of the cage any more, but she rejects the green ones and now the red ones too. She eats the yellow ones and some blue ones. What is that all about? Are they different or is she just showing her independence? Or maybe it doesn;t matter except I am throwing out lots of green and red ones.

Greetings, I am Dr. Pat. I have worked with birds for many years. I will do my best to help you.

The colored pellets are a bad idea anyway. She may be trying to tell you that they are stale or nasty. Try Exact, TOP, Harrison's High Potency (the life time formula is not accepted as well).

If you didn't try the pellets for more than a week, then you didn't try for a long enough period. Amazons WILL eat them. Never had a failure yet.
