Can a financial loan needed for living expenses be made part of a personal injury claim, due to inability to work from a personal injury?

Not exactly. If one can not work due to a personal injury, one can make out a claim for lost wages. For example, if one had a job making $10/hour and was working 40 hours per week prior to the accident, one could claim damages of $400/week for lost wages. But if one is unemployed at the time of the accident, one can not have a claim for lost wages because one borrowed money to pay living expenses. If the injured person was self-employed before the accident, there can be a claim for lost income, but the amount can be more difficult to prove.
