I was in a personel injury lawsuit that was lost miserably. I was then then charged 63000. An attorney disputed this and got it reduced to 8900. This was supposedly the cost of the neurophyscology report done for them. I paid this money to the law firm. Am I not entitled to that report? They never sent it to me, how do I know they ever paid for it, and I would like to know what they said about me. Don't I own it if I paid for it?C
Optional Information: State/Country relating to question: Arizona Already Tried: I paid the money to my attorney to give to the other side. I never thought about this expensive report being out there.
If you paid for the report and it is part of your case then you are entitled to the case file which includes the report as long as your bill has been paid. If the firm refuses to turn over the file, you would have the right to file a complaint with the state bar for them refusing to provide access to your case files.

my attorney no longer practices so would I just contact the opposing side?
If you paid for the report then you have a right to seek the report from them and if they refuse then you would have to go through the bar.
