Greetings,
Thank you for your question.
I am Dr. Su S.
I will try my best to help you.

Did you have any other symptom besides fever?

How long did the fever last?

Customer: replied 1 month ago.
I have a stuffy nose (I currently am running a fever) my 4 year old had the same thing but her fever is gone tonight. I feel like I have a cold and sore muscles (but I've just started exercise again so might be that?)

My 4 year old had a fever last night and slight fever this morning but was back to normal activities this afternoon

Thank you for the input.

It seems to be a viral infection.

Viral illness usually recovers within 3-5 days.

You should wash hand before giving feed and handling her.

You can give paracetamol if the temperature rises.

If the temperature goes higher than 102 F or 38.9 C, or if she seems irritable, lethargic or uncomfortable, then you should take her to Emergency department.

I hope this information will be helpful.

How long do infants generally have a mothers immunity? Will the breast milk help?
So only take her to emergency if she's really irritable??
Customer: replied 1 month ago.
I was reading about infant sepsis, is this something I should worry about
Expert:  Dr. Su S. replied 1 month ago.

Mother's immunity starts to decline after a few weeks.

Breast milk helps.

It seems that you are having viral infection.

If she becomes irritable, takes less feed, temperature increases, sepsis can be possible.

You should take her to ER then.
