My son has had this lump on his upper eyelid for about two

Customer Question

My son has had this lump on his upper eyelid for about two weeks now. We did take him to his doctor, who said not to worry about it, but what does this look like? What could this be? Could a stye last longer than two weeks?

How large is it?

Is there any pain?

Customer: replied 2 months ago.
He doesn't seem to be in any pain at all. It's just gotten more red and prominent. I've pressed on it and he doesn't cry, just moves his head like anyone who gets poked in the eye.

Thank you for the input & the picture.
This appears to be an infection of the eye lid.
A blocked gland of the eyelid is possible which has got inflamed.
Please do not squeeze it.
It would subside gradually.
Mild warm compress can help.
I hope this information will be helpful.
