Customer Question

My daughter has tiny pimples on her bottom. We are in the midst of toilet training so she wears diapers at night (pull-ups) and mostly underwear during day (except when she goes #2)What could these pimples be? Diaper rash?Enclosed is pic....She has them on both sides. Also, is it safe for her to sit on shares toilet seat in preschool? Can she get any infections or g-d forbid hep c or hiv with these pimples (they do seem closed but I'm not sure if one opens or pops at some point) by sitting on the shared potty?

It seems to be mild diaper dermatitis although the photo is out of focus. If they have white heads, they are pimples. But folliculitis could be possible. The toilet seat should be cleaned with alcohol or put a disposable cover on the seat. Yes, she can get the shots.

I don't think they cleaned the seats before her using them so my concern is could she get hep c or hiv by using them today while having this if no cover was used? They don't have white heads more just red and there is one that does look like if had maybe a little white head. Also, what do you mean by shots?

It is unlikely that she gets hep c or hiv since they seem to be diaper dermatitis. However, preschool should wipe the toilet seat every time children use it to prevent contagious diseases.
