Greetings,Thank you for your question. I am Dr. Su S. and I will try my best to help you.I am sorry for her symptoms.
Was there any swelling of knees or joints?
Did she have any test?
Did she have any other symptom?
Thank you for the input. This can be due to viral infection.Different viruses can cause it.Viral infections can cause muscle, joint pain.As there was no swelling of joints & strep, blood counts are normal, rheumatic fever, arthritis or other problems should not be there.I would advise not to worry. You can give ibuprofen or acetaminophen till you can see her doctor. Please keep her at rest & give adequate fluid.I hope this information will be helpful. If you have any query, please feel free to ask.If you are happy with my answer please click on the Excellent/Good rating. Wish her healthy life.Regards.
I do not think that she would need other tests.Viral infections are common in children. You may discuss with her doctor to see the conditions of her tonsil or adenoids.
You are always welcome.
