I have white patches on my tonsils and have had them

Customer Question

I have white patches on my tonsils and have had them for seven months. I don't think they are tonsillitis because I have no other symptoms.

Hi, this could be pigmentation disorder. If there are no symptoms like pain while eating or drinking, fever, etc. then infection is unlikely. Please see Oral surgeon specialist for evaluation and possible treatment.

I did have a sore throat back in November but that cleared and occasionally get tonsil stones. The white patches were a lot smaller and recently spread over larger areas of the tonsils.

They are a little red because I have used a cotton swab to touch them.
