Hello I just have a quick question. I'm a hypochondriac so I get worried very easily. I have this spot on the side of my foot. It's been there for about 3 days. My wife says it looks like a bruise but I'm afraid it's a blood clot. It doesn't hurt when I press it but all bruises from what I readdon't hurt. Can you please help me out?

Hello, Could have been an injury, with venous blood oozing under skin. Will heal in a couple of weeks, only watch for fresh ones coming up which may indicate some blood condition. Otherwise an isolated lesion has no much significance.Good luck.

Ok so your saying there's nothing to worry about. My legs are only red cause I'm on vacation and they are sunburnt. I have no swelling, redness, etc. This in no way looks like a blood clot? Here is another pic

No, only a rash. Could be an allergy. Please use vaseline.

What are some signs to look for when someone has a blood clot?
Expert:  Dr. Yogindra Vasavada replied 8 months ago.
Clot usually is painful, with swelling and edema of draining area. Engorged superficial veins may be seen around. Arterial clot will cause cold limb below the area with lot of muscular pain, dry gangrene like digits.

Ok so then most likely this is just a bruise. I really don't remember where I got it from, but it's been there for about 4 days now. I'm guessing if it was a clot, there the symptoms would be getting worse? Your pretty positive there's no need for me to worry about this? And about how long could this take to heal and start to go away?

Venous ooze stain may take 2-3 weeks to go away totally. Positive this is harmless, not a clot.
