11 yr. old so is fatigued much now and shows little energy after school. complains of stomach pain, spends much time on toilet, sometimes successful with BM, othertimes not; complains of headaches and neck aches, currently seeing chiropractor couple times a week which seems to be helping for neck and headaches. NOt the same energetic boy from 7-8 months ago, though. Have had him tested and was noted to be low on iron so am treating for that with supplement. Having very difficult time in school now. Difficult time as in concentration and performance, not behavioral issues at all. Also, on weekends, has not reached out to any friends as he used to and spends more time on tablet and labtop, We have actually restricted his hours on tablet and removed the laptop entirely last week!

Since when is he getting iron supplement?
Did he have stool test and repeat CBC, iron test after starting supplement?
How are diet, growth and development?
How much time per day does he spend for reading at home?

Iron supplement one week.
No on the stoope test and repeat CBC.
Has gained weight, otherwise, growth development ok. Does have scoliosis, forgot to mention that. Suspected seizures, but testing not found such yet.
Very little time spent reading at home now.

Anemia can cause fatigue, headache.
You have started iron supplement just one week.
It will take 2-3 months to see any effect.
Constipation can cause abdominal pain.
Fruits, fibres, vegetables should be kept in daily diet.
Warm milk can be given before bed.
It can help in good sleep and bowel movement.
You should encourage him for outdoor game.
Swimming is good exercise and helps to prevent constipation.
Still if you do not see any improvement, psychological counselling can be needed.
