Have Pediatric Questions? Ask a Pediatrician.
Greetings,Thank you for your question. I am Dr. Su S. and I will try my best to help you.
How large is the lump?
How is its consistency?
Does it move?
In precisely which position on the rib?
Please send the picture of left side too.
Thank you for the input & picture. This can be bony prominence of the rib margin. There can be prominent costochondral junction.Sometimes, it can be more visible than other normally. It can also occur from inflammation. But that would be painful.Other growth like chondroma, or bone tumor would be more round.
It does not sound like those.Still, I would advise to get an examination by doctor.By feeling he would be able to confirm.I hope this information will be helpful. If you have any query, please feel free to ask.If you are happy with my answer please click on the Excellent/Good rating.
