Greetings,
Thank you for your question.
I am Dr. Su S. and I will try my best to help you.

Since when is she having brown urine?

How is the urine frequency?

Is there any pain or any other symptom?

How is her physical activity?

Is she taking any medicine?

I was waiting for your reply.

Brown colored urine can be due to different factors.

It can be due to altered blood or breakdown of red cell pigments or from breakdown of muscle fibers.

It can occur from some disease affecting kidney like glomerulonephritis or inflammation of kidney.

Liver disease like hepatitis can also cause brown urine.

Some food & medicines can also cause it.

Foods like fava beans, rhubarb , aloe, blue berries, black berries, beat, or artificial food colors can cause brown color of the urine.

Medicines like metroidazole or nitrofurantoin or cascara etc. can be a factor.

Heavy exercise can cause muscle break down and brown urine.

As there is no other symptom, you can check whether issues like strenuous activity, food or medicine can be the factor of brown color urine.

Taking more fluid can help.

However, I would advise to get an examination by doctor to exclude any disease condition.

A few investigations like urine, blood or other tests can be necessary.
