Customer Question

My son is 3 and had these hard to see raised pink patches on his back and a few in his chest. They feel dry but don't itch him. Changed his bath soap and it's Been a week and it's still there. Is this excema? What can I use over the counter?

This is Dr. David

could very well be eczema. you can try 1% hydrocortisone over the counter anti-itch cream for 1-2 weeks and see if this helps

you can also try clotrimazole 1% antifungal cream twice a day for 2-3 weeks and see if that helps as well

if these don't help, you have to have him see a doctor and get his skin evaluated for stronger prescription creams.

let me know if you have questions.
