Customer Question

My son is 7 weeks old (1 week adjusted). He was born at 33 weeks 1 day and came home after 22 days in the NICU. He has been thriving and gaining great weight. He is breast fed by bottle. The last day or two I have noticed he has had a few choking episodes
on saliva or I am questioning reflux. He does not spit up much but does choke a lot when feeding. He drinks/gulps very aggressively. He also sounds a bit Hoarse and sounds congested at times in the throat area. His nose never runs but I hear congestion somewhere.
N The choking twice was when lying flat and the other was when I was holding him in my arms. He does bubble old milk at the mouth frequently. I will call his doctor on Monday but am so terrified he will choke to death. Does this sound like reflux or something
more serious? I should also mention he grunts, groans and strains a lot. Primarily at night which I am told is a preemie thing. He does sleep peacefully at times as well. Any advice would be appreciated

I hope this information will be helpful.
Reflux is a possibility.
There can be respiratory infection too.
There may not be runny nose or fever.
Hoarse voice, congestion can be there.
I would advise to get him examined by doctor without waiting till Monday.
Small babies can deteriorate rapidly.
