Customer Question

My son will be two in sept. and has started to complain of leg and knee pain almost daily. At first I figured it was just growing pains, and it may be, but it is starting to worry me. He rubs his knees and cries, becomes very irritable and sometimes won't eat. I've given him baby motrin and it sometimes takes the edge off but not for very long. Should I just ride it out and figure it's just growing pains or do I need to make an appointment with his pediatrician?

Thank you for the input.
Growing pain is usually felt in the muscles of the legs.
It can be felt in leg, shin area.
Pain is more prominent in the evening or night or after more activities during day.
The pain usually goes away by the morning.
It is usually seen after 3 years of age though can affect other rages.
Massage to the part can be soothing.
Application of heat will help.
As the pain is more in knee, I would advise to take an examination by doctor.
There can be an inflammation.
I hope this information will be helpful.
