Resolved Question:

Greetings,

I have 22 month old daughter and I just realized that I have wart on my hand. Is it contagious? What should I do when changing her diaper? Thanks

Dr. A. Clark :

Hi, I'm Dr. Clark and I'm happy that you have asked me to assist you with your child and hope that you can benefit from my many years of helping parents like you.

Dr. A. Clark :

Warts are contagious but generally only if they are irritated, bleeding, or you scraped it on something first. In that case you would want to keep it covered but it takes direct contact with it while irritated to spread.

Dr. A. Clark :

I see you are offline still but if you have questions please let me know.

Customer:

I just realized that I had it on my hand. I now covered it with a duct tape. But I'm not sure if it touched to my toddler's skin. Is it a serious health threat for my child? Thank you..

Dr. A. Clark :

As long as it was dry, not bleeding, etc then no risk.

Customer:

Thank you so much..
