Hello, Pickaboo is one activity they like. Also they like to be talked to while dressing, bathing, feeding etc.
Babies like to bounce, swing, reach for you, pick up and drop objects, and bang things together. Unbreakable household objects can be shown or given to hold.
Speech development starts so can be taught to speak dada or mama. Large pictures with colors can be shown in books.
Baby attempts to feed himself, so encourage use of large spoon. Imitating others' sound also will be tried by him.
Avoid using baby walkers still.
my boy is just 6 months. are you sure I can teach him all of the above?
are there any APPs for ipad that could be a fit?
No, iPad screen is too small for him to focus except on large pictures. Should tire the eyes due to flicker. Mile-stones are adequate for the above mentioned games with adults. Stimulate baby during bath time by putting bath toys in the tub. A squeaky duck or a bath book with big colorful pictures will not only give him something to play with, they'll give you something to distract him while washing face and hair.

will a 6 month old baby be able to do this: Baby attempts to feed himself, so encourage use of large spoon. Imitating others' sound also will be tried by him.
also you mentioned: Speech development starts so can be taught to speak dada or mama. How do we develop his speech. do we use big pictures with words. we also head hand signs are good
He may recognize parents as dada or mama but not consistently. Pictures of them also may be recognized if large. Other things or animals may be recognized if seen daily. Stuffed animal toys would be good material (if no allergies). Feeding with large spoon may be learnt soon enough. Words will not be read, hand signs like no-no, come here, etc will be recognized.
