Dr.FiscusMD :

I'll do my best to answer your question. If you're available for chat, let's get started. If not, I can switch to an e-mail format.

Dr.FiscusMD :

Hi! I think I chatted with you the other evening. Can you tell me what problem it is that you are worried about?

Customer :

Yes, you did

Customer :

Well...

Customer :

It's actually nothing in particular

Customer :

I'm just wondering

Customer :

what the correct way of thinking is

Dr.FiscusMD :

There's no particular illness that you are concerned about? Nothing that you're worried you might have contracted and don't have symptoms of yet?

Customer :

can I assume that I'm in good health if I'm not having any symptoms of anything

Dr.FiscusMD :

Have you had an annual physical?

Customer :

Yes

Dr.FiscusMD :

And nothing was found of concern at that physical?

Customer :

No

Dr.FiscusMD :

That's great! By and large a 22 yr old who isn't engaged in any particular behaviors that would negatively impact their health (drugs, alcohol, smoking, unprotected intercourse) is likely to be quite healthy. And, if you have regular check-ups, your physician is also monitoring you for healthy weight, lifestyle, nutrition, etc. You're doing more than most 22 yr olds if you're even being seen yearly by your doctor.

Customer :

Ok, this is good to know.

Customer :

To go back to your last question though...

Dr.FiscusMD :

So, I wouldn't be concerned about silent diseases that are brewing. It sounds like you're very pro-active about your health and that's great.

Customer :

I guess I used to take some OTC supplements, and I assume that's what triggered some of this concern

Dr.FiscusMD :

Ok. Do you remember what they were?

Customer :

yes

Customer :

caffeine, b-vitamins, multivitamins...and then a few other ones, which I have quelled my concern about

Dr.FiscusMD :

OK. Caffeine isn't going to cause any kind of long-term issues for you. Pretty much its there and then gone.

Dr.FiscusMD :

Multivitamins and b-vitamins can be over-done sometimes but, again, are only of significance when they're being taken in excess. Once they're discontinued any trouble they may have caused would correct itself. If you took them according to the package directions there should be no worries.

Customer :

alright

Customer :

thank you

Dr.FiscusMD :

Is there anything else I can help you with?

Customer :

No

Customer :

If I have something, I will ask you

Dr.FiscusMD :

Ok. I'm here most evenings. Have a great night!

Customer :

Ok, thank you.

Dr.FiscusMD :

My pleasure to assist!
