My son had diarreah Thurdsay night/Friday morning. His bowel movements are close to normal now but he complains of stomach pain constantly before going to the bathroom. He is 7 and will not eat anything becasue he it will make the pain worse.

Already Tried:
1/2 and immodium to stop the diarreha on Friday, per pharmacist. Pepto for stomach pain, not more than 3 doses in 4 days.

Greetings,

When there is pain before going to bathroom and after taking food, infection can be persisting. The frequency of bowel movement can be less due to use of Pepto and Immodium. I would prefer to have a check by doctor. Stool test can be taken. In bacterial infection, antibiotic will be needed.
