my eight year old grandson gets nose bleeds for no reason quite often down one side of his nose is it anything to worry about

been to doctor nothing ,had them for about two years he isnot ill whith them

Most cases of nose bleeding is harmless though it is quite frightening, Nose bleed can occur from irritation of nose due to inflammation of nose or rhinitis ,allergy, sinusitis. Upper respiratory infection , polyp etc. can cause bleeding. Sometimes picking of nose also may lead to this bleeding. Blood usually comes from the septum or partition wall of the nose. Nose bleed can take time to resolve. When it is continuing for 2 years, I would suggest to consult an ENT doctor for an internal examination of the nose.
