Greetings,

How long the fever is there? Is there any other symptom? When did you give tylenol?

Regards.

Thank you for the input.
You can give ibuprofen 4 hours after acetaminophen. I hope it will reduce the temperature. You can give & continue luke warm water sponging till the temperature is down. A fan / cooler can be started to cool off in the room but do not give directly. If the temperature does not go down & persists around 103, you need to take to ER for management. Ibuprofen can be repeated 3 -4 times but not more than 4 doses, it can be given 6-8 hourly. A gap of 4 hours should be there between ibuprofen & acetaminophen. Tylenol should not be repeated more than 5 times a day, it can be given 4-6 hourly.

If it persists for how long? Do you think it could be related to the dentist or coincidence?

Tylenol or ibuprofen can lower the temperature after 1/2 to 1 hour. The fever can be from an infection of the tooth or it can be a coincidence.
