This may be a stupid question but im a first time mum and dont know in ireland its aprox 26° which is extremelly hot and ive been wondering what I should be dressing my baby in she usually in a vest and sleep suit and I have been putting factor 50 on her hot special sun screen for babies shes only 4 months old but was 12werks premature so dont know if that has any differance to development of her skin shes drinking her bottles and ive been giving her boiled water also to keep her well hydrated but she still seems warm at times the housr is also very warm a tempreture thing I have in bedroom said it was 27° in room I have windows and doors open during day to cool her down any thing else I could be doing

Please keep her in light to moderate thickness dress and sleep suit only at night. No need to use sun screen lotion, which may get absorbed. Also do not give any water unless she does not pass urine at least once between each feed.
She would be fine with adequate ventilation and if necessary light breeze from a fan.
Please check her temperature from axilla and keep it normal level, to reduce garments if there is reading above 97 * f.
Babies tolerate any high ambient temperature few degrees below normal body temperature BETTER than very low winter temperatures.
