Hello, Sorry your baby is ill. Agree that likely is a viral illness. Most important are making sure he drinks / nurses well and is peeing normally even if eating less for solids. Nasal congestion can be helped by taking him with you into the bathroom and generating a little steam to make his nose run more. He may like to sleep propped up IF SAFE IN HIS CRIB to help the drainage come out the nose not down the throat.
If he gets a high fever > 101 or refuses to drink, or has faster or labored breathing then he must be seen in person by his pediatrician for concern of possible pneumonia.
Has he had routine vaccinations so far including Pertussis?
Are you comfortable continuing to manage at home?
I would continue to encourage fluids, keep him comfortable if fever keeps him from drinking, call his pediatrician if fever comes back after 1-2 days of none, if he refuses to drink, or if any new symptoms develop. All Best,
We've seen 7-15 children in clinic today just like your child and all are medically fine.
Please ACCEPT if I've answered your question ; post back as much as needed, All best,
