Greetings,

How long the symptoms are present? How frequently the pain is coming? Can you elaborate the precise site of pain, any radiation to other place & if so, where? Is there any aggravating or relieving factor or any relation to food? How are stool & urine? Is there any area of tenderness? Are there other related symptoms? Was any test taken? Is there any significant past illness?

Regards.

Hello,

The pain is mainly in her stomach. I honestly don't think its food related because it happens maybe every 3-6 months. I urine requently and stool not everyday but maybe every other day. There are times I dont even notice if she goes or not. We went to the doctor and they said its anixety but I dont think it is. No test was ever taken only because its not consistant.

- pain in stomach
=- causes her to throw up, get hot flashes and makes her go #2 most of the time.

Thank you for the input.

In children there can be nonspecific or functional abdominal pain which occurs around the belly button. When no cause is detected, it is called functional or nonspecific abdominal pain. Emotion stress, constipation can have role on it . Even in children stress can be possible. Usually it gets over in a few weeks or months without any treatment. When she is having pain repeatedly, you need to take a review by doctor. A few tests like urine analysis, ultrasound examination of abdomen can be taken. This can be associated with constipation. Dietary measures often help a lot. Try to increase the water intake. In many cases it has been seen that less water intake is related to constipation. Oat meal, brown bread, etc. high fibres containing food can be given. Vegetable with peas, beans, spinach, carrot, potato are very good fiber containing foods. Instead of fruit juice, fresh fruits like peaches apricots, prunes, ,pears, plums etc. can be given and help to relieve constipation.

If you have any query, please feel free to ask.
It will be my privilege to assist you.
Regards.
