Customer Question

My 1 year old has red bumps all over her legs and arms (and some on face). They don't hurt or itch. Just today they broke open into pustules. Anyone know what this could be? I took her to a doctor and he said maybe hives (but these don't itch and they hadn't broken open when he saw them.

Dr. Yogindra Vasavada :

Hello, With pus discharge, they could be multiple boils, could also have staph germs. Please visit your pediatrician again for antibiotic prescription after suitable bacteriological tests.

Dr. Yogindra Vasavada :

Meanwhile you could apply an antibiotic ointment every five to six hours.

Dr. Yogindra Vasavada :

If initially they were water filled, they could also be chickenpox but doctor would have recongnized that.

Dr. Yogindra Vasavada :

You need not give benadryl.
