hi, my 8 months son has bronchospams and they detected an enlarged spleen..can the enlarged spleen be due to the infection, a salbutamol side effect or something different?thanks
Hello and thank you for your post. I am sorry to hear that your son has had this problem.Regarding your quesiton, if the spleen is mildly enlarged, this can be from a variety of viral infections. In this case, it is not likely to be a significant long-term problem. However, if it is signficantly enlarged (or persistently so), then it should be evaluated further. This is not a common side effect of salbutamol.I hope this helps. Please let me know if I can help further. Best of luck and I hope he does great. Sincerely, XXXXX XXXXXDr David40274.5807101852
