HI I am wanting to know what is a normal resting heat rate for a child aged 11. My daughter has beeen complaning of chest pain over the last couple of days and today it has become more intense. I have counted her heart rate and counted it at 87 beats in 60 seconds. Hear breathing is fairly normal (not like it would be in a panic attack), but she says she cant get up beacause it hurts in her chest. She has also been very lethargic and had a headache on and off over the last couple of days. She is asthmatic, but this does not seem like an asthma attack and ventolin has little effect. Are you able to help? Nenita
Hi,
Welcome to JustAnswer!
The resting heart rate in a 11 year old is 70-100 beats per minute.
THank you for answering the pulse rate part of my question, but what i was wanting to know is if the chest pain and headache with this pulse rate is normal or of concern.
It is most likely to be musculoskelatal.
Feeling hurt while getting up supports this possibility.
Tylenol may be given for relief.
