Hi,
I am a pediatrician.
Assuming that he does not have have any other problems like a fever etc, I would suggest that you try counting the heartbeat/ pulse rate while your son is asleep.
Normally for kids a heart rate of up to 120 / min maybe normal at rest, with an average of around 105,
If your concerns persist, it would be prudent to contact your pediatrician for specific evaluation and testing,
Regards
